Steps to Become an Airline Pilot

Get a First Class Medical

Required before beginning ATP training. Schedule with an FAA-authorized Aviation Medical Examiner.

Enroll in the Airline Pilot Program

Complete Private Pilot → Instrument Rating → Commercial Pilot → CFI → Multi-engine Commercial Add-on.

Join the GPA Instructor Team

GPA graduates receive hiring priority. Instruct for approximately 14 months to build toward the 1,500-hour ATP minimum. Hiring based on availability — not guaranteed.
